Mission:

The Boston Prostate Cancer Walk's mission is to provide support for community-based prostate cancer education in Massachusetts and support prostate cancer research that improves the quality of life for prostate cancer survivors.

Goals:

The Boston Prostate Cancer Walk's goal for 2012 is to raise $200,000 dollars to support program activities. 100% of the profits from these activities will go directly to research and programs.

Facts:

An estimated 240,890 new cases of prostate cancer will be diagnosed in 2012 in the United States. Prostate Cancer is the most frequently diagnosed cancer in men. For reasons that are still unclear, the incidence rates are significantly higher for African American men.

In Massachusetts, approximately 165 are diagnosed annually and 25 will loose their battle with prostate cancer in 2012*.
