Welcome to the Boston Prostate Cancer Walk.
Join us in the fight against prostate cancer!

Registration: 9-11 AM   •   Program: 11 AM   •   Walk: 11:30 AM   •   Distance: 5K (3.1 miles)

In the past nine years, our walk has raised $1,320,000. In doing this, we fulfilled the requirements for institutional support and were recognized by the National Cancer Institute, which resulted in our receiving complementing funds that enabled us to award a total of $3,000,000 in grants for prostate cancer research, and awareness. This has enabled us to award 61 new prostate cancer research projects, including six in 2009.

Every 2.3 minutes a man is diagnosed with prostate cancer. Prostate cancer causes 32,500 deaths a year; one death every 16 minutes. Walk to save lives.

Prostate Cancer is the most inherited of ALL cancers----male and female.

In 2005, we launched the Massachusetts Women Against Prostate Cancer campaign to get women more involved, to get the men in their lives to have an annual medical examination. Volunteers and women's groups are requested to contact us. Call 617-625-4875 or e-mail Klein@rcn.com.

Later this year we will add articles that every man, with and without prostate cancer should be aware of. It is important for every man diagnosed with prostate cancer to attend a prostate cancer support group before he makes a treatment choice.
